Our Story
Real people. Real connections.Crossway Church in Lincoln, Illinois is a young church right in the heart of central Illinois. We officially launched in August of 2018 and began meeting first in a senior center and then in an elementary school and a downtown office building before God graciously led us to our own church building. During all this time God has greatly blessed! We're still young but hopeful for a bright future! We love our God, our church, and our city.
Crossway is located in northeast Lincoln just off of historic Route 66 and we desire to reach people all across our community with the life changing truth of the gospel. If you call Lincoln or any of the many surrounding communities your home, we invite you to be a part of what God is doing.
We're not perfect...
That’s probably why we make such a close knit family, we're all sort of limping through life and growing in grace. We’re not evaluating you; when you walk in, we’re glad to see you! Don’t worry about measuring up or fitting in. None of us measure up, and we’re all very different. Our family is very diverse, so fitting in isn’t an issue.
We're not very religious...
Honestly, religion has let far too many people down. Religious systems can be very confusing, complicated and disconnected from everyday life. We would love to help you move from religion to an authentic and genuine relationship with Jesus. If you feel new to it all, that’s ok, our church is filled with new believers!
We speak plain English...
We worship Jesus, study the Bible, and encourage each other in simple terms you’ll be able to connect to your daily life. We believe and teach what the Bible actually says and why it matters; no pointless traditions, no droning or irrelevant lectures, no pious arrogance. We open the Bible and apply it to real life today.

Sermon Series
From a young age, Joseph believed God had destined him for greatness. However God had so much in store for him to achieve that greatness. Hated and cast out by his brothers, sold into slavery, rising in ranks only to be falsely accused and imprisoned and then to be used by God again arising to greatness.
Our Leadership
Nick HardyIn August, 2018, a handful of families were seeking God’s will about starting a new church in Lincoln. They contacted Nick and his family to see if he felt as if God might move that direction. Over five years later, they're still just as excited to serve this community with their church family and watch God work through Crossway!
As the Lead Pastor of Crossway, Nick provides teaching, leadership, and guidance for the church as a whole. Nick has previously served on church staffs as an assistant pastor. He and his wife Lori have three children: Kacie, Ryan and Rylee.
Pastor Nick and Lori share a singular passion—to help people find and follow Jesus. They have been forever transformed by their relationship with Jesus, and desire for others to experience His love and grace as well.
